The name G3 represents the evolution to the third generation of technology and distinguishes the organization that has evolved to meet these challenges.

G3 Technology Partners was formed as a direct result of Avaya's purchase of Expanets. The leadership team of the former Expanets of Indiana recognized an opportunity to create an independent organization that could better serve the needs of individual customers. By leveraging the power of Expanets' product portfolio, and instilling entrepreneurial spirit and values into the new organization, G3 Technology Partners is able to offer customized solutions to its clients.

The company is owned by 40 of its employees. The principal owners include Pete DiPaola, President; Raymond Hoffman, Vice President/Chief Operating Officer; and Jim Heckman, Chief Financial Officer. These three have been together as a management team since 1986, and have managed the daily operations of both Expanets and its predecessor, KLF, for the past 20+ years.
